Macmillan Publishing Guidelines And Contact

Thank you for expressing interest in writing resources for Macmillan Education. Please research the types of resources that we publish before you submit a proposal, to ensure we are the right publisher for your work. Should you wish to submit a proposal, please email publishing.assistant@macmillaneducation.com.au We will endeavour to reply within 4-6 weeks. Submissions will only be considered if they conform to the formats listed below.

Submission for Macmillan’s classroom, textbook, workbook or teacher resource lists

Please provide a proposal that includes the following information:

  • Information about pedagogical framework of the resource and how it will be utilised in a teaching and learning context
  • Information about unique features and benefits of the resource
  • Information about the market segment the resource is targeting including any market research outlining the opportunity
  • A brief synopsis and a sample chapter
  • A copy of your CV, detailing any relevant writing and teaching experience
  • Other relevant material as appropriate.

Submissions for Macmillan’s Primary literacy list

Please note that we only publish for resources in the field of literacy with strong links to the Australian Curriculum. We do not publish stand-alone books of any kind.
If you have a proposal for a literacy resource that you would like us to consider please include the following information:

  • Information about the resource and how it will be utilised in a teaching and learning context
  • An explanation of the series concept, the pedagogical framework and its relevance to the literacy classroom
  • Information about unique features and benefits of the resource
  • Information about the market segment the resource is targeting including any market research outlining the opportunity
  • A detailed overview/synopsis of the series
  • Sample text/content and activities
  • A copy of your CV, detailing any relevant writing and teaching experience
  • Other relevant material as appropriate
